As part of First Presbyterian’s TGIF Concert Series, an extended recital by noted teacher and organist, James David Christie, Chair and Professor of Organ at the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, Ohio. Free admission to all, donations accepted.

A unique opportunity for Chapter members to participate in a master class with James David Christie. Sunday, April 29, 3:00 pm — Katelyn Emerson, Organ Recital
The Cathedral of St John (Episcopal), 318 Silver Ave. SW, Albuquerque

As first prizewinner of the AGO’s 2016 National Young Artists’ Competition in Organ Performance, the Guild’s premier performance competition, Katelyn Emerson will be honored with a recital at the 2018 National Convention of the AGO in Kansas City, MO.

Katelyn released her first recording, Evocations, under the Pro Organo label, in spring 2017.

Lead by Paulita Hendrickson, Director of Music at St. Luke, this workshop will include small-choir resources and literature for the church year.

The Cathedral of St John (Episcopal), 318 Silver Ave. SW, Albuquerque

Presented by Renée Anne Louprette, a workshop on the proper articulation and stylistic performance of organ music from the Baroque period, in particular the organ music of Bach.

Renée Anne Louprette has established an international career as organ recitalist, accompanist, conductor, and teacher.
